wallpaper* magazine cover design.
this project was to design a magazine cover for ‘wallpaper*’ magazine.
i wanted to incorporate screen printing into this design and so i decided to screen print a simple background with block colours and a city scape image screen printed over. the background was roughly shaped around the cityscape print. i printed this onto fabric and then scanned it into photoshop to do some minor adjustments, and i added the ‘wallpaper*’ title onto the front cover and put the barcode on the back.
i am really pleased with this design as it pretty much turned out the way i wanted it to. I was quite surprised though because i didnt expect to be able to see the fabrics texture on the image, but it was very strong with texture on the image which i was really happy with.

just another edit to the original design.

this is a design i made today, i had some spare time and just wanted to work with triangle. so this is what i came up with whilst improvising.
i was quite happy with this design as it didnt really take long to design, and i just like how simple it is. the photographs in the triangles and the circle are my photos, i like how they came out as it looks like a mountain with the sun behind it which is what i intended halfway through playing with the image.
i am happy with this design and decided to print it onto a2 paper which i will post soon when its been put up (:

this was a project we had to complete in a single day, the theme was shapes and cmyk (cyan, magenta, yellow, black).
so i decided to use some of my photography in this and put the main sight of my photograph into a circle. this was all done on photoshop. when i had put the photo into a circle, i changed the image to black and white. when i finished that design i then changed the colour to cyan, and so on for each colour. I then decided to put something underneath, without any ideas and desperate to do some thing to this image to make it look a little bit more full, i wrote ‘to tree, or not to tree’.
this literally makes no sense to me but i decided it because it had relevance in the image as there was a tree.
i like these images because i think theyre actually pretty simple but quite effective.

these are just experimenting with the work to see what else i could do and how to develop them, i also changed the word to white and was pretty happy with those too.

this was one of my first projects in college, we had to come up with an idea for editing on photoshop, we had to do this because we were having an induction for photoshop.
i decided to draw the word ‘black’ with the word ‘white’ inside it. I then had to edit it on photoshop and make it cleaner and give it a professional finish, so i played around with photoshop to see what i could do to improve it, and see what photoshop was really capable of.
After a large amount of time making small, stressful adjustments, i was pleased with the outcome and was quite proud to have made a professional looking image.
